Cookie Policy
Last updated: 14 February 2026
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use a small number of them to make the site work and — only with your consent — to measure visits and show recommended content. This is consistent with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.
The categories we use
1. Strictly necessary (always on)
Required for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. These do not track you for advertising. They include your saved consent preference, stored in your browser under the key al_cookie_consent_v1.
2. Statistics (optional)
If you allow them, we may use privacy-friendly analytics (for example Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation) to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. These load only after consent.
3. Marketing & advertising (optional)
If you allow them, third-party recommendation and advertising partners — for example Taboola and MediaGo — may set cookies/pixels to load recommended content and measure the performance of their placements. These load only after consent, and never before.
| Category | Example providers | Set before consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | This site (consent preference) | Yes — essential |
| Statistics | Google Analytics 4 | No |
| Marketing | Taboola, MediaGo | No |
Managing cookies
Use Cookie settings to accept, reject or change categories at any time. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings; note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
